Micro-dose Leuprolide
What is Micro-dose Leuprolide and How Does It Work?
Micro-dose Leuprolide injection (MCDL) is a compounded preparation made from diluted commercially available leuprolide. It is used for patients who are “low responders.” Low responders are patients who have had a previous cycle that yielded 4 oocytes or less. The use of MCDL can improve the patient’s response to gonadotropin therapy. This fertility treatment varies in regard to dosing strength and time of doses. To help increase Micro-dose Leuprolide pregnancy rates, be sure to follow the specific instructions you receive from your fertility center.
Common injection sites include in the lower abdomen area or in the upper/outer area of your thigh. Remember to avoid injecting in the same area during the course of your treatment plan. Always seek your doctor or nurse’s guidance regarding Micro-dose Leuprolide instructions for injection before beginning your treatment at home.
