Cetrotide (cetrorelix acetate for injection) is a subcutaneous injection that is prescribed to women undergoing controlled stimulation treatment. The medication helps prevent a rise in the Luteinizing Hormone (LH) levels, which can trigger early ovulation. Ganirelix helps delay premature ovulation, giving the egg more time to fully develop.
